Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team at Wood, a global leader in consulting and engineering. As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in providing structural engineering expertise to our clients in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide structural engineering input to projects, including defining structural engineering requirements and developing deliverables and documentation.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for the procurement of structural fabrications and special items.
  • Undertake engineering checking and approvals, and provide support to the Lead Structural Engineer.
  • Attend design reviews and IDC checking to ensure interdisciplinary considerations are met.
Requirements:
  • Brownfield Oil & Gas Structural Engineering experience is essential.
  • Proficient with specialist software packages, including MathCad and STAADpro.
  • Knowledge of International Codes and Client Standards, such as AISC, Norsok, and Equinor TR.
  • Experience in hot and cold connection design, pipe support design, and retrofit deck extensions.
