About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our Visual Arts team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will support students and staff in the delivery of art and design lessons, maintaining teaching resources and machinery in good order.

The school is an oversubscribed, academically successful all-through school that develops individuals into ambitious, highly successful, happy and resilient young adults. We make learning enjoyable from reception year to sixth form, providing a challenging academic curriculum and a supportive pastoral system.

Main Duties:

  • Preparing for lessons and maintaining teaching resources in good order.
  • Liaising with staff to ensure successful delivery of lessons and examinations.
  • Maintaining machinery and equipment.
  • Maintaining display areas and controlling stock of departmental materials.
  • Liaising with teachers to support students' learning and support in art and design.
  • Running small workshops and planning exhibitions.
  • Working as part of a team and adhering to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in English and Maths.
  • Relevant experience of working with cutting machinery and equipment.
  • First Aid training or readiness to undertake emergency first aid training.
  • An interest in the education of young people and secondary school systems.
  • A passion for ART and Graphics Design.
  • Proficient IT skills.

Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
