Supporting Creativity in Schools
">We are seeking a qualified technician to support the Visual Arts team in a fully inclusive, all-through learning community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students and staff in the delivery of art and design lessons.
The school is rated 'Good' with 'Outstanding' features by Ofsted, and we continue to improve and aim to become one of the highest performing schools in Northamptonshire. We are a 'High Performance Learning School' with a 'World Class School Award', providing a challenging academic curriculum and a supportive pastoral system.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing for lessons and maintaining teaching resources in good order.
- Liaising with staff to ensure successful delivery of lessons and examinations.
- Maintaining machinery and equipment.
- Maintaining display areas and controlling stock of departmental materials.
- Liaising with teachers to support students' learning and support in art and design.
- Running small workshops and planning exhibitions.
- Working as part of a team and adhering to policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified in English and Maths.
- Relevant experience of working with cutting machinery and equipment.
- First Aid training or readiness to undertake emergency first aid training.
- An interest in the education of young people and secondary school systems.
- A passion for ART and Graphics Design.
- Proficient IT skills.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
