Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Dual Subject Specialist to join our team as a Part Time MFL and Food Technology Teacher at a Secondary School in Exeter.

About the Role

This is a part time position, Monday to Wednesday, where you will combine your teaching responsibilities for both MFL and Food Technology. The role starts in January 2025 and continues until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum for French and Spanish
  • Maintain a professional and organised classroom environment, including safe use and storage of equipment
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within departments and throughout the school
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to their emotional development
  • Deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements, both theoretical and practical
Requirements
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in a Secondary School
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Food Technology Teacher and/or an MFL Teacher
  • Proven classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A relevant qualification related to either subject specialism is desirable
  • SEND experience is also desirable

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
