Detailed Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Psychological Therapist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As an advanced therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to patients attending our Dental Hospital.

Your main duties will include:

  • Providing specialist psychological assessments, clinical formulations, and delivering evidence-based treatments to patients with a range of psychological needs.
  • Working closely with surgeons, dentists, and nurses to provide excellent multidisciplinary care.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans, liaising with referrers, GPs, and other professionals to ensure effective care.

You will also be responsible for providing clinical supervision to more junior psychologists and contributing to research and audit projects.

The successful candidate will have a Doctorate in Applied Psychology, registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist, and experience of working in an acute hospital setting. You will also have knowledge of policy and legislation, and its implications for clinical practice and professional management.

A competitive salary of £61,927 - £68,676 per annum pro rata, including HCA, is available for this role. We offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and research.
