Clinical Psychologist Specialist Lead

Job Summary
Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our specialist team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical work and operational management of the service.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in clinical psychology. You will be working with clients across a range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has a strong background in clinical psychology, with experience of leading teams and managing complex services. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with clients, families, carers, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
- To act as care coordinator, where appropriate, taking responsibility for initiating planning and review of care plans under enhanced CPA including clients, their carers, referring agents, and others involved in the network of care.
- To contribute to the development, evaluation, and monitoring of the team's operational policies and services, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service evaluation, and audit.
- To manage the workloads of more junior clinical psychologists, psychological therapists, assistant practitioners, and graduate psychologists, within the framework of the team/service's policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Doctoral-level training in clinical psychology or equivalent, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
- Completion of further post-doctoral post-qualification specialist training, including training in supervision of trainee clinical psychologists.
