Job Title: Regional Arthroplasty Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of the revision arthroplasty service in the North East and North Cumbria Knee Revision Network, administered by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate the running of the Northeast and North Cumbria (NENC) Knee Revision Network.
  • Work as a high-level practitioner with enhanced clinical skills within an interdepartmental and/or multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients within their sphere of clinical expertise receive holistic, timely and quality clinical care.
  • Monitor and lead improvements of standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, implementation of evidence-based practice, teaching and support of colleagues and the provision of professional leadership.
  • Lead the implementation of evidence-based practice and contribute to the development of the evidence through research, audit and collaboration with clinical or academic staff.
  • Contribute to clinical governance by leading quality improvement, audit and research projects.

Person Specification
  • 1st level NMC registered nurse or AHP registered with HCPC, with post registration qualification, at degree level or equivalent experience in Orthopedics & Trauma.
