The University of Oxford is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Development team as Deputy Head of Development – Medical Sciences.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team that is dedicated to advancing medical knowledge and improving human lives. As Deputy Head of Development, you will play a key role in securing philanthropic funding to support cutting-edge research in medicine and healthcare.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, focusing on major gifts, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnerships.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective donors
  • Identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve fundraising targets
  • Collaborating with academic departments and clinicians to identify research needs and priorities
  • Working with the Development team to deliver high-quality events, campaigns, and communications
