Senior Director of Development and Programmes

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Development and Programmes to join our Development and Alumni Relations team at the University of Cambridge. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our fundraising efforts and developing strategic partnerships to support the University's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of 40 fundraising professionals to achieve ambitious fundraising targets
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the University's priorities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders across the University and Colleges
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, Principal Gifts & International, to co-create and lead the fundraising programme
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the fundraising team, fostering a culture of motivation, accountability, and excellence

Requirements- Proven track record of success in fundraising and development, with a strong understanding of the higher education sector
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders
