Senior Endoscopy Nurse Role

The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Endoscopy Nurse to join our team. As a Senior Endoscopy Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality Endoscopy care, as well as leading the team to ensure adherence to the 5 steps to safe interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and planning high-quality Endoscopy patient care
  • Leading the team to ensure safe and efficient running of the list
  • Exhibiting high-level teamwork with the wider hospital environment
  • Participating in education, training, and development of other staff
  • Ensuring all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported immediately
  • Helping to prevent cross-infection by observing departmental policy
  • Preparing patients for invasive procedures
  • Providing initial urgent or emergency care as required
