Job Title: Senior Endoscopy Nurse

The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Endoscopy Nurse to join our team. As a Senior Endoscopy Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality Endoscopy care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and planning individualized care for patients undergoing Endoscopy procedures
  • Delivering high-quality Endoscopy care to patients, including preparing them for invasive procedures
  • Leading the team in the role of team lead to ensure adherence to safe interventional procedures and efficient running of the list
  • Exhibiting a high level of teamwork with the wider hospital environment
  • Participating in education, training, and development of other staff
  • Ensuring all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported immediately
  • Helping to prevent cross-infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, maintenance of a clean working environment, decontamination, and sterilization procedures
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the role of Endoscopy Nurse
  • Endoscopy competence within a range of procedures
  • Competence in delivering a high level of Endoscopy care
  • Good computer and numeracy skills
  • Flexibility in response to needs of the department
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service to patients and Consultants
  • Good Team working skills
