Endoscopy Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endoscopy Staff Nurse to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.
About the RoleThe Endoscopy Staff Nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. The role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care, as well as participating in the process of monitoring the quality of care delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and support patients with adherence and understanding of their medication, advise on the promotion of health and prevention of illness, including bowel preparation.
- Supply and/or administer medication safely in line with Trust medicines policy.
- Co-ordinate and support other members of the caring team who may be responsible for implementing specific aspects of nursing care.
- Act as a shift leader in the absence of senior staff nurses/ward sisters/charge nurses.
- Acquire competency in skills for decontamination of equipment, care of patients before, during, and following various Endoscopy procedures.
- Post registration experience working in an acute hospital setting.
- Post anaesthetic (GA) Recovery experience.
- Surgical or Endoscopy Pre-assessment experience.
- Extensive Endoscopy experience of more than 1 year.
