The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Corporate Tax Advisory team in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technically excellent advice to our clients, including tax structuring, refinancing, and compliance work.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is part of our continued growth and expansion in the UK market. You will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, including UK listed, PE backed, inbound, and family owned groups, providing international and complex UK tax advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the successful delivery of tax advisory projects, including tax structuring, refinancing, and compliance work
  • Work closely with specialists in other departments and overseas offices to oversee their input into tax advisory projects
  • Coach and develop more junior members of the team
  • Manage aspects of the team's operations and performance, including resourcing
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and understand their business needs
  • Manage proposals for new work, including delivering tender documents and presenting at client pitches
  • Seek out and pursue opportunities with targets and actively participate in business development activities

Requirements

  • ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualification with strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge
  • Ability to develop, coach, and lead staff, as well as manage stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and analytical skills
  • Pro-active in identifying and progressing business opportunities for the long-term benefit of both KPMG and the client
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of projects and relationships
