Physiotherapist for Paediatric and Adult Learning Disability Transition

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in the Paediatric and Adult Learning Disability Transition speciality.
As a Physiotherapist in this role, you will work in a supportive environment to acquire and develop knowledge and skills related to treating children and young people with disabilities in the community/school environment and supporting their transition into adult services.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Managing a caseload in the community, covering schools, homes, day centres, and sports centres, as well as providing cover on the acute paediatric wards at Glan Clwyd Hospital and some community work in Denbighshire.
- Working one day a week to support children and young people up to the age of 25 who have a learning disability during their transition to the Community Adult Learning Disability team.
- Contributing to the supervision of support staff and students, as well as participating as a member of the wider multidisciplinary/joint agency teams supporting children and young people with disabilities.
- Participating in 7-day working and respiratory on-call, with training available if required.
Desirable skills and qualifications include:
- A willingness and desire to learn, with a willingness to receive support and guidance from senior team members and clinical specialists.
- Experience of working in an NHS environment as a physiotherapist, with a focus on neurological experience and multi-agency working.
- Significant post-registration experience, with evidence of core rotations and contributions to clinical teams.
- Excellent clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to work autonomously and lead teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and logical manner.
