About the Role

We are partnering with a leading Algorithmic Trading Firm to find a Commercial Counsel to join their growing Legal function. The ideal candidate will have experience in either a top-tier law firm or In-House counsel, with a strong grasp of commercial law and a focus on financial services.


Key Responsibilities:


• Lead legal-commercial negotiations, drafting and negotiating agreements in relation to various business lines, including trading agreements, software agreements, and exchange agreements.

• Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to monitor the legal and regulatory landscapes across various business jurisdictions.

• Participate in other legal projects, including commercial disputes, employment, and corporate projects, depending on skills, preferences, and company needs.


Requirements:


• Circa 2-5 years of experience practicing law (qualified) at a top-tier law firm or as in-house counsel, with financial services, fintech, or crypto exposure advantageous.

• Strong understanding of commercial law, with a focus on financial services.

• Ability to see the bigger picture and commercial strategy, with a cross-functional mindset.
