Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse to lead our team in the collection of blood and blood products. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe collection of blood products and providing an exceptional experience for our donors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Healthcare Assistants, Donor Care Supervisors, and Sister/Charge Nurses to deliver high standards of care to our donors.
  • Take clinical accountability and operational responsibility for ensuring the safe collection of blood products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the donation experience and increase donor retention.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively plan and resource blood collection sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate standards of clinical care and implement improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
  • Experience of leadership and management in a clinical environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work variable hours and cover blood collection sessions as needed.
