Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced paediatric nurse, requiring strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Duties
  • To provide high-quality patient-centred care, working independently with patients and relatives as a paediatric expert assessing, treating, and liaising with medical teams regarding admission or discharge.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring they align with national guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current NMC Registration RN child
  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
  • Mentorship Course or equivalent
  • APLS/EPALS
  • Significant experience at Band 6 level
  • Significant nursing experience within an acute paediatric setting
  • Experience of teaching patients/parents and colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deal with and resolve conflict
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage pressurised clinical situations
  • Innovative approach to practice
  • Commitment to self-development
