Job Summary

Velindre Cancer Centre is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead our clinical services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical and line management of our acute assessment unit, ambulatory care unit, and immunotherapy toxicity nursing service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment and direct the management of patients
  • Access research and use information systems to inform practice
  • Lead and carry out relevant research within practice
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and guidelines
  • Manage and develop clinical staff

Requirements

  • Professional registration as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner
  • Level 7 education (Master's degree) relevant to the area of clinical practice
  • Advanced specialist knowledge of patient pathways
  • Independent prescribing qualification (if required for the role)

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Management/leadership qualification or equivalent skills and experience
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Evidence of maintaining a live Advanced Clinical Practice portfolio
