About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Community Learning and Development Manager to join our team at Argyll and Bute Council.


This is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week.


As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and supporting the delivery of Community Learning and Development services throughout Argyll and Bute.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement strategies to promote community learning and development.
  • Work closely with local communities, partners, and stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of community learning and development programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment and coherence in our approach to community learning and development.
  • Provide leadership and support to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:



  • Proven experience in community learning and development, preferably in a local authority or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
