Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Contract Delivery Manager (CDM) in managing programme delivery for assigned contracts.
  • Take ownership of driving programme delivery for self-contract KPI targets and cutting teams.
  • Ensure high-quality work completion in terms of safety, environment, quality, customer service, and profitability.
  • Drive consistency and innovation through all tasks to ensure Ground Control excels.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Successful undertaking and completion of Project Manager duties for allocated works.
  • Responsible for outputs and performance within projects measured against safety, quality, production, budget, timings, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure efficient communication with assigned Project Coordinators and take relevant action to process projects in good time for smooth delivery.
  • Timely and effective reporting and communication through to CDMs.
  • Update and manage Works Programme, SD Programme, Held Up Programme, Planning Checklists, and similar programmes for projects and assigned teams.
  • Satisfactorily resolve landowner complaints on assigned projects to Ground Control and Client standards.
  • Participate in resolving held-up spans requiring client resolution for consent.
  • Carry out survey and consenting when required to increase delivery volumes.
  • Assist Junior PM/Surveyor in resolving SSSI sites, TPOs, or Conservation Areas within scope/programme areas.
  • Achieve high-level safety awareness and field team safety accountability through onsite inspections and audits.
  • Monitor and achieve set HSQE KPIs.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Client Representatives.
  • Attend internal programming and planning meetings.
  • Assist in developing Junior Project Managers within the team through mentoring and shadowing.
  • Be responsible for own programming and delivery of role outcomes measured against a KPI.

  • Practiced negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Well-developed team management and organisational skills experienced in managing small teams.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and balance demands from numerous sources to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent customer service.
