About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Delivery Director to lead our technical projects and teams. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for setting the technical strategy and providing technical leadership in the execution of projects within your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technical strategies to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver projects successfully.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical risks, and to develop solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure that all technical solutions meet regulatory and company compliance requirements, and that they are aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with experience in delivering work in the programme technical area.
  • Proven ability to ensure that all technical solutions meet regulatory and company compliance requirements.
  • Ability to define and document safety requirements and ensure system designs meet these requirements.
  • Effective communicator, able to foster trusting relationships, gain respect, influence decisions, and successfully challenge at all levels.
  • Experience of operating as part of an integrated team and leading a technical function, delivering Technical/Engineering solutions, preferably in the nuclear industry.
  • Education to degree level in Engineering or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as holding membership or being a Chartered Engineer with i.e. IMechE.
