We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Medical Director to join our team at NUPAS. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the corporate management of the company by working with the Executive team, SLT, and staff to develop clinical pathways and policies, and manage performance to achieve strategic objectives.
- Provide clinical advice and information to the senior management team and advise the CEO on clinical matters.
- Ensure that there are systems and processes in place for effective management, appraisal, and revalidation of medical staff.
- Lead the Doctors' annual appraisal process and ensure the appropriate development and quality assurance of the process.
- Monitor clinical performance through a range of clinical indicators and implement recommendations from root cause analyses, serious untoward incidents/accidents, and external reviews.
- Develop an approach to clinical risk management, fostering a culture of openness and transparency, and ensuring robust systems are in place to identify, assess, and minimize clinical risk.
- Experience in medical management and leadership.
- Good reputation as a clinician and clinical leader with a proven track record of producing high-quality results in the management and leadership of clinical services.
- Previous Medical Director experience and experience working within a Sexual Health Service.
- Medical Qualification and appropriate Royal College membership or Fellowship.
- Postgraduate Medical Qualification and Management Qualification.
- Able to lead and motivate clinicians to harness and nurture talent.
