We are seeking a skilled Technical Claims Handler to join our team in Leeds, working on a hybrid basis.

The successful candidate will have experience handling Cross Class Insurance Claims, with a focus on Property, CAR, Casualty, and Product Liability. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, as well as a willingness to mentor junior colleagues, are essential for this role.

In addition to managing a portfolio of commercial clients, the Technical Claims Handler will be responsible for ensuring timely intimation of claims, establishing applicable coverage, and advocating on behalf of the client throughout the claims process.

This role requires:

  • Timely intimation of claims to relevant insurer(s) and establishment of applicable coverage
  • Co-ordination of claims from first notice of loss (FNOL) to settlement, protecting client interests
  • Providing expert guidance and technical analysis to clients, facilitating smooth claim progression
  • Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders, including internal servicing contacts
  • Accurate management of electronic claim files, processing all correspondence and diaries within service level agreement (SLA)
  • Attending claims review meetings and producing claims experience reports, as required
  • Supporting colleagues and internal stakeholders with technical referrals, encompassing coverage or quantum queries

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as outstanding negotiation skills.

A competitive salary, ranging between £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, is offered for this position, reflecting the company's commitment to attracting top talent in the industry.
