About the Role:

This role involves leading the manufacturing function within the area, ensuring safety, quality, performance, and leadership. Key responsibilities include managing Britvic processes, delivering production plans, and driving continuous improvement. Performance management, people development, and team engagement are critical components of this position.

  1. Develop and implement site plans for plant, people, and processes to align with the overall Manufacturing strategy.
  2. Lead area shift teams to optimize resource utilization, achieving safety, quality, productivity, cost, service, and objectives in a high-morale environment.
  3. Contribute to the development of the factory strategy to support the company's 2025 vision.
  4. Ensure effective control of manpower to meet production plan KPIs.
  5. Promote zero-loss manufacturing principles across the site.
  6. Maintain consistent quality standards by applying approved manufacturing and quality procedures.
  7. Collaborate with other Britvic functions and contractors to introduce new products and processes efficiently.
  8. Coach the Engineering team and operation shift teams in Root Cause Analysis methodology to deliver long-term fixes.
  9. Oversee safety across the site shift operation, providing guidance, leadership, accountability, and empowerment to create a culture of Safety.
  10. Implement quality plans and standard operating procedures to achieve right-first-time delivery and consumer complaint reduction.
  11. Create training and development plans to build capability and enable flexible, cost-effective working models.

Key Skills:

  1. Proven operational experience in FMCG or similar high-volume automated environments is desirable.
  2. Effective people management skills with the ability to adapt styles to individual needs is essential.
  3. Knowledge of manufacturing and HSE processes and legislation is desirable.
  4. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  5. Working knowledge of people development, management, and employment legislation.
  6. Experience in capital investment project delivery.

Salary:£70,000 - £100,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
