Job Title: Maintenance Caretaker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Caretaker to join our team at Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality caretaking and maintenance service to our properties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure all properties are clean and well-maintained, including regular cleaning and minor repairs.
  • Property Preparation: Prepare properties for occupation, including setting up utilities and ensuring all necessary equipment is in working order.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor properties to identify any issues or hazards, and report these to the relevant authorities.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out routine repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure properties are in good condition.
  • Property Clearances: Assist with the clearance of properties, including the removal of furniture and other waste items.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in general caretaking work, including cleaning, repairs, and housekeeping.
  • Qualifications: 4 GCSEs Grades A-C.
  • Driving License: A full driving license and access to a vehicle for business purposes.
