About the Role

The Aurora Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Meldreth Manor, a children's home and school providing education, care, and therapeutic support for children and young people with severe and profound communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional care and support to children and young adults during daily activities, including washing, dressing, socializing, learning, and personal care.
  • Assist with therapy sessions, such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy, to promote physical and emotional well-being.
  • Build strong relationships with children and young adults, empowering them to grow and develop through effective communication and support.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment that promotes learning and social skills.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child and young adult.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with complex needs and additional behaviors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young adults, and colleagues.
  • Highly organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resilient and able to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
