About the Role:

Protocol Education is seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to work in Primary schools, providing support for students with SEMH needs who may find it difficult or be reluctant to engage in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building rapport with students and creating positive relationships to influence their behaviour.
  • Working with students who have SEMH needs, including those with autism or ADHD.
  • Providing support to help students regulate their behaviour and engage in education.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or a passion for improving outcomes for young people.
  • Outgoing and confident individual able to work with children with behavioural difficulties and learning difficulties.
  • Desirable qualifications include Team Teach and experience in dealing with young people who have SEMH needs.
