Disability Support Specialist

Are you passionate about creating inclusive learning environments for students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties? Adecco is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Specialist to join their team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives and contribute to promoting disability awareness.
As a Disability Support Specialist, you will play a key role in assessing and providing specialist advice to students and prospective students who identify as disabled and/or have specific learning difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying support entitlements for applicants and students with disabilities/specific learning difficulties.
- Creating Reasonable Adjustments Forms (RAFs) and collaborating with relevant colleagues to ensure implementation.
- Providing specialist advice to an allocated college and contributing to promoting disability awareness.
- Leading initiatives to promote inclusivity within the organisation and contributing to policy development.
- Delivering training and workshops to promote inclusivity across the university.
- Participating in relevant meetings and forums, while staying engaged in professional development activities.
- Providing statistics and analysis to communicate the activities of the Disability Learning Support service.
Requirements:
- Relevant post-graduate/professional qualification or significant relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of the legal framework related to disability support, as well as funding and support available.
- Proficiency in MS Office and IT skills.
- Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to personal and professional development.
