Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, responsible for managing the implementation of new requirements, planning and budgeting, and driving issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of new requirements through to acceptance and rollout, including technical, legal, compliance/risk, and financial work-streams.
  • Identify amendments in project objectives and negotiate between core and future phasing to efficiently adhere to agreed delivery timeframes.
  • Plan, estimate effort, report status, and track project budgets.
  • Drive issue resolution, enable reporting, and manage escalations.
  • Manage governance sessions at agreed frequency.

Management Responsibilities

  • Maximise resource utilisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the team, working with other areas of the business.
  • Manage the workload of the team, ensuring priorities are clearly understood to maximise progress flow.
  • Support individual learning and development, ensuring shared knowledge and a positive attitude for a high-performing team.
  • Guide Project Managers to manage the implementation of products and solutions from shaping requirements through to build, acceptance testing, and rollout end-to-end.
  • Monitor and control project delivery, identifying, challenging, and overcoming delays and obstacles.
  • Effectively prioritise projects and resources.
  • Track and manage escalated issues from the team.
  • Optimise recruitment, training, and development, and progression of employees.
  • Monitor the quality of the team's performance and provide regular feedback against agreed standards.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills and experience, with a focus on stakeholders and employees, combined with people skills (inspire to perform).
  • Adaptability to fit with different team profiles.
  • A wealth of relevant experience in project management, technical project management, or a related field.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously on complex topics.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, with experience of working with a project methodology.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Focus on delivery with customer satisfaction as a core principle.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • A proven record of working in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in team leadership.
  • PM qualifications preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding or experience in payment (card, mobile, wallet…).
