We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Acoustic Support Specialist to join our team at UKCIL Ltd. The successful candidate will provide support to a young woman with a learning disability, enabling her to access social activities and develop her independence skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the individual to access meaningful employment and volunteering opportunities, promoting her employability and work experience.
- Establish clear boundaries and a supportive relationship with the individual, prioritizing her safety and well-being.
- Assist the individual in identifying and accessing social activities and events, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
- Help the individual develop her independence skills, including cooking, domestic chores, and personal care.
- Ensure the individual's safety at all times, including road safety awareness, handling money, and interacting with strangers.
- Provide overnight support, assisting with bedtime and morning routines, and responding to any needs during the night.
- Perform general household tasks, such as feeding and exercising the family pets.
- Car owner/driver with business use insurance.
- Female candidate due to personal care aspects of the role.
- Ability to understand when to step forward and when to step back, enabling the individual to develop her independence.
- Similar interests and willingness to participate in activities suitable for a 28-year-old woman.
- Comfortable working around dogs and cats.
- Hourly rate: £15 per hour.
- Sleep-in night rate: £55 per night (10pm-8am).
- Reimbursement for agreed expenses, including mileage at 45p per mile.
- Hours and times of work: 4 hours minimum on a Tuesday, with some other days and overnights available.
- Annual holiday entitlement: equivalent to 5.6 consecutive weeks of work.
- Satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
