Job Title: School Administrator/Finance Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Administrator/Finance Assistant to join our team at a busy Primary School in Stoke On Trent. The ideal candidate will have a background working in a school environment and be proficient in SIMS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inputting details onto SIMS
  • Answering phones and taking messages
  • Typing of letters and memos
  • Filing, faxing and photocopying
  • Dealing with parents and pupils
  • Assist in the provision of the comprehensive financial support services
  • Promote the highest standards of financial probity and value for money
  • Prepare monthly reports to present to the business manager
  • Monitor budgets within the academy
  • Oversee communications with payroll services, teachers pensions and the local government pension scheme
  • Maintain systems and procedures that ensure transactions are recorded
  • Oversee preparations of invoices and collection of all fees
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes

The successful candidate will be:
