Job Title: Technical Customer Service Manager

Job Description:

A leading recruitment agency, Alexander Steele Recruitment, is supporting a multi-site chilled food manufacturer in appointing a Customer Technical Manager at their large facility. This role will provide a comprehensive technical service to key retailer accounts, ensuring exceptional standards of integrity, food safety, and legality for both the company and customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit customer sites and host customer visits to suppliers and at the business facility.
  • Manage customer specifications.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical policies in line with customer policies and procedures.
  • Manage NPD and Innovation projects for key customers, working closely with product developers, suppliers, and procurement to formulate and deliver.
  • Facilitate and provide technical support with the launch of products.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a Customer Technical role.
  • Experience working with major UK retailers (Tesco, M&S, JS, etc.).
  • A degree in Food Science or equivalent.
  • The ability to manage projects and improve processes.
  • Significant experience of food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP, and complaint handling.
