Health Visitor Professional

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Health Visitor Professional to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the health and wellbeing of children and their families in our community.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess the health needs of children and their families, developing and implementing programmes of care where necessary.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide education and training to junior staff and students.
- Participate in regular team meetings to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Represent the clinical area at relevant forums and meetings.
- Use IT and performance management systems to improve the quality and coordination of services.

Person Specification:
- NMC registered SCPHN (HV)
- Registered Nurse/Midwife Qualification
- Mentorship qualification level 6/7
- Practice Teacher
- Level 3 Child Protection module
Essential Skills:
- Clinical competences appropriate to role
- Excellent written skills
- Able to assess, develop and implement programmes of care
Experience:
- Experience of working within a team environment
- Knowledge of clinical governance, clinical audit, clinical supervision and professional codes of conduct (NMC)
Desirable Skills:
- Active participation in safeguarding children
- Management of team/staff members
