Critical Care Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Consultant to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Critical Care Consultant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Critical Care service.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in Critical Care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes. You will be expected to participate in on-call rotas, undertake clinical duties, and contribute to the development of our Critical Care service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in Critical Care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team
- Participate in on-call rotas, undertaking clinical duties and contributing to the development of our Critical Care service
- Contribute to the development of our Critical Care service, including the development of clinical guidelines and protocols
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Consultant who possesses the following qualities:
- Breadth of experience in and outside specialty
- Experience and ability to work in multi-professional teams
- Understanding of NHS / Clinical governance / Resource constraints
- Evidence of managerial skills: Achievements / Course attended
- Evidence of an interest and commitment to teaching
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Evidence of participation in audit
- Research experience
- Publications
- Prizes and honours
- Evidence of good communication skills both oral and written
