Public Transport Liaison Officer

We are seeking an experienced Public Transport Liaison Officer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. This is a full-time role, requiring the successful candidate to work 20-30 hours per week.
The estimated salary for this position is £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description:In this role, you will be responsible for driving a range of vehicles, including coaches and minibuses, as part of the Passenger Transport Services. You will also be required to carry out basic vehicle checks, maintain the vehicle in a clean condition, and complete necessary paperwork.
You will need to have a valid UK driving licence with Category D1 entitlement or PCV entitlement, as well as experience of working with children, vulnerable, and disabled persons. Additionally, you should be able to accurately fill out paperwork, talk to members of the public with tact and patience, and read a map.
As a Public Transport Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of passengers, handling materials and equipment correctly, and maintaining a good standard of appearance while on duty.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a range of Council-owned or hired vehicles, including special-purpose vehicles within the bounds of a PCV licence or DI entitlement.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is working efficiently and is roadworthy.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean condition by regularly washing and cleaning using the necessary equipment and protective clothing.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including timesheets and fault reporting.
- Assist other employees by carrying out related tasks, such as assisting escorts.
- Valid UK driving licence with Category D1 entitlement or PCV entitlement.
- Experience of working with children, vulnerable, and disabled persons.
- Ability to manoeuvre vehicles and drive in confined areas.
- Ability to accurately fill out paperwork, including timesheets and recognition of addresses.
- Ability to talk to members of the public or other Council employees with tact and patience.
- Ability to read a map.
- Knowledge of First Aid.
- Demonstrate experience of being a flexible and collaborative member of a team.
