Health and Safety Manager
**About the Role**
Amazon is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at the Fulfilment Centre (FC). As a key member of the Operations Management team, you will play a critical role in managing health and safety within the FC.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage the health and safety function at the FC, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
* Collaborate with Operations Management teams to identify, coordinate, and drive improvements in inbound safety, quality, and productivity.
* Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
* Review and audit arrangements for health and safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
* Develop strategies to plan and organize work systems to reduce health and safety risks, recommending and implementing mitigations and processes.
* Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for Health and Safety metrics.
* Drive behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
* Implement and review company global safety policies ensuring that local HSE requirements are met.
**Requirements**
* Education to a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
* Relevant experience managing a team.
* Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
* Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Lean, 5S, and Kaizen experience.
* Environmental qualification/experience an advantage.
