Contract Cost Manager

Toro Recruitment is partnering with a leading Utility company to find an exceptional Quantity Surveyor. This role involves managing financial aspects of projects, ensuring optimal cost control and value for money.
Job OverviewAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial part in delivering projects within budgetary constraints while maintaining exceptional standards. Your expertise in Quantity Surveying and experience with NEC contracts will drive accurate cost forecasting, manage variations, and assess the financial viability of projects.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, including estimates, forecasts, and budgets for projects within the Utilities industry.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts, change orders, and variations to minimize financial risks.
- Monitor project expenditure and provide regular reports on cost performance.
- Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct thorough cost audits and produce accurate financial reports.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with project costs and contractual obligations.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Project value range between 100k to 20m.
- Strong understanding of cost management principles, contract law, and procurement processes.
- Proficient in cost estimating, financial analysis, and budget management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in relevant software and tools used in Quantity Surveying.
- Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
