Restaurant Manager Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our team at Turnberry Resort, Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our 1906 Restaurant and In-Room Dining outlets, ensuring exceptional customer service, high-quality food and beverage offerings, and a positive working environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall operation of the 1906 Restaurant and In-Room Dining outlets, including planning, directing, and supervising staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to ensure high-quality food presentation, preparation, and service standards.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture, and fostering a sense of teamwork and camaraderie among staff.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Manage budgets, inventory, and supplies to optimize operational efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Respond to guest complaints and feedback, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury 5-star resort or hotel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage standards, quality control, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
