Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tank Farm Operations Manager to lead our Girvan Distillery's Tank Farm operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of key results, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and driving business growth.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operational Planning and Execution: Execute operational plans in line with company, operations, and business unit objectives.
  • Financial Management: Manage the Tank Farm budget, including variable and fixed costs, to maximize functional benefit.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all H&S, Environmental, and Customs legislation to maintain compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate the team to achieve business objectives, develop individuals to achieve their full potential, and promote a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Process Improvement: Implement best practice processes and procedures to maximize effectiveness and efficiency, and lead and support improvement projects to ensure ownership and knowledge transfer.
  • Performance Metrics: Manage key performance metrics, including compliance, quality, volume/cost management, and continual improvement.

Requirements

  • Leadership and Management Experience: Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to set objectives, performance manage a team, and develop individuals to achieve their full potential.
  • Technical Operations Experience: Experience in technical operations, with knowledge and experience in relevant areas of H&S legislation, HMRC compliance, continuous improvement, and best practice initiatives.
  • Financial Management: Experience of managing multiple cost centre budgets.
  • Process Infrastructure: Knowledge of process infrastructure.
