About the Role


The Automation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of a range of machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong background in engineering, with a proven track record of working in a similar capacity. A relevant engineering qualification is essential, along with experience in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Provide technical support for instrumentation and electrical control applications
  • Keep programs backed-up and update documentation, schematics and drawings
  • Analyse and implement required upgrades or projects in relation to the instrumentation and electrical control applications
  • Support the daily activities of the maintenance teams and assist in shut-downs, investment projects
  • Monitor and modify PLC and DCS control logic
  • Troubleshoot PLC, DCS and relay control systems
  • Participate in the emergency on-call roster
  • Foster safe working principles throughout the plant. Highlight concerns or practices that contravene safety
