About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Town Planner to contribute their skills and expertise to a leading consultancy with offices in Preston, Manchester and Lichfield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and managing planning applications and appeals, providing strategic planning advice to clients, undertaking site appraisals and policy reviews, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning Applications: Prepare and manage planning applications and appeals, ensuring compliance with UK planning legislation and policy.
  • Strategic Advice: Provide expert planning advice to clients across a range of sectors, helping them navigate complex planning regulations.
  • Site Appraisals: Undertake thorough site appraisals, identifying opportunities for development and growth.
  • Policy Reviews: Conduct policy reviews, ensuring alignment with current planning laws and regulations.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • Experience working as a Town Planner, ideally within a consultancy or local authority.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
