About the Role

Sanctuary Personnel, a renowned recruitment agency with an excellent reputation, is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in Southampton on a full-time basis. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £34,500-£37,227 per annum.

The ideal candidate will be joining a hospital that provides a tranquil environment, focusing on residential treatment for individuals suffering from various mental health conditions. The team supports adult males, females, and those requiring acute mental health care.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Individualised Care Planning: Develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient, collaborating with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  2. Clinical Governance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical governance standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
  3. Patient Education: Provide accessible and accurate information about care to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions.
  4. Nursing Leadership: Prioritise and delegate nursing duties within the shift, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  5. Safeguarding and Compliance: Be aware of and follow safeguarding policies and procedures, attending required training, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications and Experience: A registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and completion of preceptorship or an equivalent program.
  2. Ongoing Professional Development: Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional development since registration, showcasing a commitment to staying up-to-date in practice.
  3. Adaptability and Innovation: Capable of developing and employing flexible, innovative approaches to clinical practice, contributing to a positive and dynamic work environment.
