The Learning and Development Officer is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of learning and development initiatives within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Learning Initiatives: Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and other learning experiences to meet the needs of the organization.
- Facilitate Learning and Development: Deliver training sessions, facilitate group discussions, and provide coaching and mentoring to employees.
- Conduct Skills Assessments and Performance Reviews: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
- Develop Training Materials and Resources: Create engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources.
- Evaluate Learning Initiatives: Assess the effectiveness of learning programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a Culture of Continuous Learning: Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and development within the organization.
- Manage External Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with external training providers and vendors.
- Experience in Learning and Development: Proven experience in designing and delivering learning initiatives.
- Excellent Facilitation and Presentation Skills: Ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Knowledge of Public Sector Regulations: Understanding of public sector regulations and guidelines.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficiency in Learning and Development Software: Familiarity with learning management systems and other L&D software.
