About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer Science Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our GCSE Computer Science assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
  • Complete all administration tasks as specified.

Requirements

  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, relevant to the qualification and subject.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification as a teacher.
  • Experience in Python programming.

Competencies

  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
