Job Title: Examiner - International GCSE - Computer Science (2017 Specification)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer Science examiner to join our team at Pearson. As an examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our marking processes.

About the Role:

As a Computer Science examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme. You will work independently, using our ePEN system, to ensure that all scripts are marked accurately and consistently. Your expertise in Computer Science will be essential in applying the mark scheme and ensuring that our standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
  • Ensure all administration is completed as specified
Requirements:
  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification subject, and since qualifying as a teacher
  • A degree or equivalent
  • Experience in Python, C Sharp, or Java
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A high level of subject knowledge in Computer Science
