Job Title: Examiner - International GCSE - Computer Science (2017 Specification)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer Science examiner to join our team. As an examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with us and contribute to the development of our Computer Science qualifications. As an examiner, you will have the chance to work on a variety of tasks, including marking scripts, providing feedback to candidates, and contributing to the development of our mark schemes.

Responsibilities
  • Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
  • Ensure all administration is completed as specified
Requirements
  • You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification subject, and since qualifying as a teacher
  • You will have a degree or equivalent
  • You will be a qualified teacher
  • You will have experience in Python, C Sharp, or Java
Competencies
  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure
  • You will have the ability to meet deadlines
  • You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme
