About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Devices Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Decontamination and Sterilization department, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective collection, decontamination, and distribution of reusable medical devices throughout the trust.

As a Sterile Services Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality of medical equipment. This includes conducting quality checks, performing sterilization procedures, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontamination and Sterilization: Collect, process, and distribute medical devices, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and quality systems.
  • Quality Checks: Conduct thorough inspections of medical equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate records and reports, demonstrating compliance with legislative requirements and quality systems.

Requirements:

  • GCSE or Equivalent: Maths and English qualifications required.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in SSD or hospital settings preferred.

Salary: £23,615 - £25,674 per annum (dependent on location and experience). We offer a competitive salary package, including opportunities for career development and progression.

Location: Brighton, East Sussex.
