Job Title: Medical Support Specialist

The Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the patient care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our patients and staff.

About the Job:

  • We are looking for an experienced Nursing Assistant with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
  • You will work closely with our Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services.
  • This is a full-time position that requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  2. Assist with collecting medical data, vital signs, and performing routine procedures such as blood draws and injections.
  3. Support the admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients, ensuring a smooth transition between departments.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient information, including intake and output data, and vital signs.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  6. Participate in infection control measures, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nursing Assistant or related field.
  • Certification/Licensure: Nursing Assistant Certification preferred; BLS required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Estimated Salary: $42,000 - $52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
