Salary

The successful candidate can expect a salary ranging from £85,000 to £115,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, a Recruitment and Retention payment of up to £25,000 and relocation allowance of up to £8,000 may be offered.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our East Assessment and Treatment Service (ATS) in Brighton & Hove. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist medical/psychiatric assessments and evidence-based treatment to patients presenting with complex and unstable mental health needs.

  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and informal advice and supervision to non-medical team members.
  • Fulfill the duties of Responsible Clinician for patients subject to Community Treatment Orders, including attendance at Managers Hearings and Tribunals.
  • Liaise with inpatient Responsible Clinicians, forensic teams, drug and alcohol services, and risk panels as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge in psychiatry and excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • A wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service.
