Job Summary:
As the Claims Operations Manager at HSB Engineering Insurance, you will be responsible for leading the Claims Handling team and Claims Relationship team. Your primary goal will be to deliver a market-leading customer service to HSB's customers and internal colleagues. You will work closely with colleagues in the Engineering Insurance Business to develop, implement, and monitor claims processes and value-add services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Head of Claims in determining the Claims Function strategy and business plan
• Prepare and communicate team commitments, monitor performance of the claims handlers, and identify areas for improvement
• Take a lead role in designing, testing, and implementing new systems, processes, and controls to deliver improvements
• Support the development of Claims team staff, working with the Claims Technical Manager to develop and deliver training materials
• Manage and oversee the adherence of Claims Handling activities to required standards and processes
• Deliver monthly and weekly management information on claims data, together with commentary against trends compared to target or comparative periods
Requirements:
• Knowledge of and relevant experience in the Claims / Insurance industry
• Manager / Team Leader experience
• Regulatory awareness, with drafting of binders and contracts experience
• Excellent written skills, ability to draft and create process maps, and procedural documentation
• Qualifications & Educational Requirements: Partial or completed ACII qualifications would be preferable
